Product Description

1,2-Indanedione is a fluorescent latent print dye that is visualized at 520nm with filtration between 570-590nm. It is used primarily on paper surfaces as an alternative to DFO. The chemical purity of 1,2-Indanedione is very important for performance, and our material is consistently >99% pure and typically >99.5% pure. This provides improved fluorescence, particularly for weak fingerprints. Each vial has a security seal and is available in bottles designed to meet the requirements of the most common working solution recipes. No measuring or weighing is necessary. Simply add the contents to your solution and rinse the bottle with alcohol to collect any remaining powder.
